Troubleshooting Survey Projects

My Survey Project was Published but there are certain Course Sections whose survey are still in Draft state.

There are 3 main reasons this can happen:

Your Course Section has no enrollments or less than the minimum number of enrollments defined in Sync Course Section rules.

To Resolve:

1. If you did not intend for this course section to be surveyed. No more action is needed on your part—an empty course section will not be surveyed.
2. Go to Terms > [Select Term]
3. Search for the Course Section without student enrollments in the Course Sections table.
4. Select the Course Section by double clicking the row.
5. In the Student Enrollments tab, search and add students.

Your Course Sections has no instructors

To Resolve:

1. If you did not intend for this course section to be surveyed. No more action is needed on your part—an empty course section will not be surveyed.
2. Go to Terms > [Select Term]
3. Search for the Course Section without instructors.
4. Select the Course Section by double clicking the row.
5. You will see an Instructor(s) field. Click on that and search for the instructor that needs to be added to this course section.

Your Course Section's survey dates are not within the Survey Project dates.

To Resolve:

1. Click on the Edit button at the top of the Survey Project page.
2. If there are Course Sections whose surveys start before the Survey Project Start Date, update the Survey Project Start Date to be before the earliest course section survey start date.
3. If there are Course Sections whose surveys end after the Survey Project End Date, update the Survey Project End and Release Dates so that the last course section survey end date and release date.

My Survey Project didn't go Live!

To Resolve: There may be, at most, a 30-40 minute delay for when a survey begins. This buffer ensures that all surveys release without failure and that proper security and distribution checks are in place before surveys are released to your students.
